Education Consultant for you... ... and your dog.
There is simple science behind my methods:
The behaviors that are reinforced will increase or continue, while behaviors that are not rewarded will decrease.

My background
Since I was a child, I have observed animal behavior.
My professional path followed along a career in human behavior.

An educator for most of my professional life, I have developed curriculum and instructed in both public and private education learning environments for over 30 yrs.
I am a professional instructional designer who applies a systematic approach to solve problems.
For the last 5 years I have focused on improving human- to- dog communication and behaviors.
To teach children, I had to learn about behavior modification based on the studies of dogs! (ie. Pavlov, Skinner)
I figured it was time to just concentrate on dog behavior and work with dogs and their people.

After living with a variety of breeds (hunting dogs, German shepherds), I have settled on the positive behaviorial training methods I learned from Lee Mannix and John Rogerson.
I use these methods because they bring results.
There is simple science behind it.
The behaviors that are reinforced will increase or continue, while behaviors that are not rewarded will decrease.

I have taught special education students, university faculty, K-12 children...
I can teach you and your family about how to understand your canine companion.

The goal is to communicate what you want to your dog clearly by learning what your dog needs from you.

I am working toward certification with Certification Council for Pet Dog Trainers (CCPDT).
I am a member of the American White Shepherd Association and the United White Shepherd club.

My degrees are in Education (Ph.D) and Anthropology (M.A.)
I hold a certificate to teach grades 6-12 in Texas: Composite Social Studies, Computer Literacy, Bilingual, Spanish and Special Education.
I received a Licenciatura from Universidad de las Americas, Puebla, Mexico.
I am a life-long learner...
join me in learning about your dog and what your family companion needs from you to be happy and healthy!
